This Project around peace and justice was developed by Stroom Den Haag and was made possible by Madurodam Steunfonds. I gave a serie of 8 lessons at the Yunus Emre School in The Hague. We made drawings of nice houses in Madurodam and discussed whether safety belongs to a place or more to a feeling. The children worked in groups and each group designed its own ideal city. Those cities were cut in parts and each child printed a part of the city on their own shirt. A shirt to illustrate that safety or peace is not something you can always see or feel. But that you can wear it as a shirt, very close to your heart.
